We support parents to parent in ways that feel good to themselves and their kids
One of the best ways to support the social and emotional wellbeing of children is through the safe and secure relationships children have with their parents.
We recognise that some families can experience barriers to accessing supports for their children or would benefit from having their own sessions so they can learn how to help support their kids. Our parenting education and support is designed to do exactly that.
Our parenting education and support benefits parents who want to:
access supports for their kids but experience barriers
learn practical strategies such as routines, limits, boundaries, child-led play and co-regulation
learn how to support their kids through their feelings
want to build their confidence in parenting in ways that feel good
feel less triggered by their kids behaviours and feelings
debrief and work through their struggles with parenting
During our parenting education and support sessions parents are invited to share their goals in parenting. Goals may relate to what they find challenging in parenting or they may come from goals related to the social and emotional wellbeing of their kids.
Our practitioners draw from a range of knowledge, tools and resources to educate parents about how they can meet their goals and support them doing so along the way.
During these sessions our practitioners may provide education about the brain and body, what happens during moments of stress, how to make their child’s day to day more consistent and predictable, how to support their children with emotional coaching and how to create moments of connection.
