Nurture, Play and Healing is a growing children’s therapeutic practice servicing children, young people and their family in Hobart.

We are seeking enthusiastic family practitioner who loves working with parents and values family, relationships, connection and authenticity to join our team.
Our family practitioner will deliver effective services and programs that are family and child focused, using an understanding of best practice guidelines, informed by relational neuroscience, Attachment Therapy and trauma informed practices. This role is for an ongoing contractor position in a hybrid capacity. Ideally our practitioner will have availability across two days. Ad hoc availability throughout the week or after-hours may be considered.
Our family practitioner will be required to:
Conduct initial assessments and formulate therapy care plans reflective of the children and family needs and their goals for their care.
Conduct services primarily with parents, families or key members of their network to build their parenting/caring capacity in various settings including at school, in office, in outreach offices within the community, in homes or via Telehealth.
Assist with the marketing of the practice including writing social media and blog posts, attending events and building long lasting partnerships with key services and referral partners within the community.

The successful candidates will be required to deliver services that are trauma informed, builds upon parents strengths, are developmentally appropriate to children and encourages play, connection and curiosity, so families can thrive and create lasting benefits for the children we work with. You’ll develop important relationships with clients and their families through a nurturing and compassionate approach to your work and your communication.
